Pastor Alec & Hazel Mitchell
Church Pastor
Pastor Alec Mitchell is a native of Trinidad and Tobago. In 2005 he answered God’s call to full-time ministry. Before then, Pastor Mitchell worked as an Accountant for over 20 years and for several years worked as a Marketing Representative.
He is one of the principal spiritual leaders of the church as well as having an overall management responsibility for its missions’ outreach.
Pastor Mitchell has always had a heart for the Lord and a love for His Kingdom and this lead to a fortuitous meeting. Sometime around 1984 during a visit to New York, he received a Bible study on the Oneness of God, the Biblical need for baptism in Jesus Name and the infilling of the Holy Spirit. Rev. Mitchell gladly accepted the apostolic message and began his personal Book of Acts journey. He went back to Trinidad and married his lovely wife Hazel in 1984. In 1986 he migrated to the United States to join his wife. They have been married for 40 years and have four beautiful children, Janelle, Jonathan, Jenika, Joshua and an adoring grandchild Isaiah.
He is a graduate of Genesis Bible School and has attended Queens Borough Community College. Along with Bishop Lincoln Graham, Sr., Rev Mitchell assisted with the establishment of the UPCI Church of Trinidad and Tobago. Pastor Mitchell teaches the New Converts Class and is a Preacher of the Word. He follows Jesus’ example and has discipled many workers in both Oneness and the Body of Christ at large. He is also a great teacher of home Bible studies. Along with his wife Hazel and family, he has taught many families who today are still serving the One True God.
